In some cases, customers are looking for a solution that is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. This was the case for our customer who rents out compressors. The combination of a TAG.WIFI-GPS and a TAG.QR-NFC is the best solution for optimally locating and managing expensive equipment such as compressors. This case takes a closer look at how our customer can make optimal use of these tags.

Since 2012, they have specialised in the maintenance and repair of all cars, vans, trailers and various industrial equipment such as forklifts, compressors, power generators, excavators, etc. Thanks to the rental of young reliable mobile compressors, power generators and mini-excavators, we guarantee the continuity of each project. In order to shorten the time span of the maintenance or repair, the technicians come on site with a well-equipped intervention vehicle.
The compressors are used both inside and outside, so our solution must be able to function perfectly in both situations. By choosing the combination of TAG.WIFI-GPS and TAG.QR-NFC, the solution is suitable for every type of company that makes use of assets that are used both inside and outside.
Given the high price tag attached to this type of equipment, it is useful to know the location of each individual compressor at all times. They also wanted to be able to look back into the history to see where the assets had been previously. In addition, compressors require regular maintenance to keep them running smoothly. In order to ensure that these maintenance activities are carried out in a timely and regular manner, a solution was sought to receive maintenance reminders.
As these compressors are used both inside and outside, we opted for a solution that would function optimally in all weather conditions. For our customer, we therefore combined the TAG.WIFI-GPS with the TAG.QR-NFC. This gives the lessor a clear insight into the location of all the compressors and which maintenance still has to be carried out.
On each compressor, we fitted both a TAG.WIFI-GPS and a TAG.QR-NFC, which work perfectly in all weather conditions. This way, the lessor always has a correct overview of where the compressors are and from which location they are returning. Using a smartphone, one can scan the TAG.QR-NFC to perform maintenance tasks. After performing these tasks, they immediately become visible in the history of the asset. When the tag is removed, an automatic notification is sent to the CHECK platform, together with the last known location of the compressor.
